I also have two wonderful step-daughters and all children More…are married to great spouses. The daughters each have two children so we have 6 precious grandchildren. I love being Mimi. Grandchildren are one of the greatest benefits of getting older. My son Derek just got married last May - so I'm hoping for more in the future.
Comments:

When I divorced in 1981, the children and I moved to Dallas to be closer to my parents. I learned to love Texas (hard for an Okie). I stayed single for 13 years and focused on raising my children. When Tiffany had graduated from A&M and Derek had started UT, I was introduced to my husband on a blind date. Truitt was born and raised in Fort Worth so that's where we live. He is in commercial real estate and also runs a non-profit cancer foundation at a cancer center he helped develop. For years, I was the Operations Manager for a showroom in the Dallas World Trade Center. And when we married, I became a sales rep for one of the showrooms and I love it. It's fun selling beautiful things nobody really needs. My life is full & busy and that's the way I love it.

I'm looking forward to the reunion and I would love to hear from others before then. It is so hard to believe it has been 40 years....where has the time gone??? The older I get, the more I realize how much I treasure the years of my youth and the friends I had.

Since many of you knew my parents, I wanted to include this photo. My Daddy died almost 9 years ago. Last year Mother moved to a high-rise retirement home near me here in downtown Fort Worth. Before we sold her home in Dallas, I had a photographer come and take some photos. This is our "Four Generations" photo. I am so blessed she is still in relative good health.

This is the family photo from my son's wedding last May in the hill country of Texas. There were peacocks everywhere - see the one to the right of Truitt.
